The author of "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "In Defense of Food" spoke at Google a few days ago. I've seen a part of this talk, and I suspect it might be interesting for those of you who eat.

That's the word I've been looking for for a long time. How reducing the nutrition of a carrot to beta-carotine doesn't mean that just ingesting beta-carotine is what will be healthy...

I've been looking for the term for "active ingredients" in medications. Just because some generic medications have the active ingredient does not mean that the drug is as effective as the brand which did the original studies and know a little something else beyond it.
