i more wonder about the guy who ran the 100.. considering he pulled up so far away from finish.. some kind of new doping? or that good?

Apparently the pool is also making a notable difference. They've deepended it, widened it, and redesigned the sides, all to reduce the size of the surface waves that the swimmers are swimming into. That makes things a little more predictable, and probably also means they don't need to raise their head quite as far to get air.
